HEJLENKI stands for gender-neutral and fairly made clothing for your child.
We don’t separate our collections into girls’ or boys’ pieces — every item is designed for all children.
Our cuts, colors, and patterns are completely gender-neutral, so each piece can be worn and loved by everyone.
How a Pink Sewing Machine Changed Everything
I never expected it, but for my 27th birthday my husband surprised me with a pink household sewing machine. I actually didn’t even want one — but I guess I had complained often enough about baby clothes in the shops: too blue, too stereotypical, too loud, not organic… just not me.
So I started watching video tutorials, reading DIY books, and slowly taught myself how to sew. Before long, I was making little outfits for my son — and to my surprise, people on social media loved them. Everything grew so quickly that I ended up starting the label HEJLENKI almost on a whim.
Now seven years later, HEJLENKI is still here.
And by the way, the name is a little creation of its own: a mix of my nickname Helenki (from Helene) and hej.

Wir sind ein familiengeführtes Unternehmen mit aktuell 11 MitarbeiterInnen, davon 10 Frauen.
HEJLENKI wurde 2019 von Helene gegründet. Mittlerweile arbeiten bei HEJLENKI auch Helenes Schwester, Mutter, Schwiegermutter und ihr Ehemann. Ein echtes Familybusiness eben!

We process only fabrics and yarns of organic origin. Many of our fabrics are also certified organic, at least these have the oeko-tex seal.
Unsere Baumwoll-Garne und unsere Merinowolle stammen beispielsweise aus Italien und Deutschland. Eine große Anzahl an Stoffen, Nähaccessoires wie Etiketten und Knöpfe, sowie alle Strumpfwaren-Produkte werden in Deutschland hergestellt.
Each collection is personally designed by Helene, the founder of HEJLENKI, in Germany .
Unsere Kleidung wird in sehr kleinen, familären Manufakturen in der EU hergestellt. Diese befinden sich in Deutschland, Italien, Portugal und Polen.
We have been working with our manufacturers for many years and are in daily exchange with each other.
